13-year old NG seriously broke her ankle during a softball game. After a month in a cast, the x-rays showed absolutely no sign of healing and surgery was recommended. Pam re- quested the opportunity to work with her for a couple of weeks prior to the family making that decision. Her parents brought her to Pam's office two or three times a week for the next month. After two weeks, they re-x-rayed her ankle. That blessed white line that indicates healing was forming on the pictures. So we continued treatment. Another two weeks and she was completely healed and out of her cast. Thankfully, surgery was averted. Natalie G, IL
“An errant cooking accident caused a fall which sprained my left hip, left knee, left ankle and foot. There were huge chunks of pyrex wedged deeply into the bottom of my foot. There were five tears in the ligaments of my left knee. The prognosis was six weeks, no weight bearing. Then I could begin to re-learn to walk. I did energy work on myself around the clock and was tremendously supported by my healing colleagues. All medical care was palliative. I remember affirming to the physical therapist who was simply helping me to keep the strength in my upper body until I could move my left leg and foot, that I would be walking out of the rehab unit within two weeks. ’It’s nice to keep a positive attitude, dear,’ she said. Twelve days later, with the help of a walker, I left the rehab unit and returned home. Two more weeks, with the support of only a cane, and I was on a plane to Sedona, Az to attend a spiritual seminar. “Thank you all for your help and energy work. My husband and I are truly amazed at the RAPID speed at which my face healed. It’s a funny story now…but if you could have seen me on Wednesday night, I thought I would be scarred for a long time. I freaked! After tripping over a stray cat in the yard, doing a face-plant in a flower bed of mulch and fracturing my nasal bone on a stepping stone, my face looks great! I had deep scrapes on half my forehead, whole nose, upper lip and chin, complete with embedded mulch. I spent Thursday picking mulch out of my skin with tweezers. I felt like I had whip lash on my whole body. Thanks to you all, I made it through my first anniversary weekend with just some nose pain, and am doing great as long as I don’t sneeze! Injuries
TB, one of Pamela's students, suffered a severed ACL ligament in her right knee during a Colorado ski vacation in the winter of 2003. Those of you who have medical experience know that a severed ACL ligament is a guaranteed surgery. That is considered the only way to reconnect and heal it. TB got her knee stabilized with a soft cast and proceeded to use her full complement of healing energies on herself daily. She was supported in this by our healing network, a fellow student who is also a gifted healer and myself. Within just three weeks, TB was out of the cast, out of pain and walking easily and comfortably. Her doctor had a hard time believing this could heal without surgery, but the x-rays proved TB's knee had repaired itself. She missed the rest of the ski season that winter, but returned to her favorite sport the following year. Tana B, IL
Believe it or not, JC, a very tall, very large man, was celebrating his 50th birthday by dancing on the bar. He fell off, of course, and crushed his ankle and foot. His wife, SC, had begun studying Reiki with Pamela just the week before. JC was told by the orthopedic surgeon that he'd never be able to walk on that foot again without supports. SC worked on him daily supported by Pamela and our full team of volunteer healers. Within a couple of months, he was walking on that foot without supports. The surgeon thought this was amazing, but stated that he'd never be able to resume his previous work as a contractor. Within a couple more months, he was out of the office and back on the rooftops wielding a hammer. Again, the reaction was predictable. Amazing, but he'd never regain full rotation of the ankle. You guessed it, within another couple of months, he again had full rotation of the ankle. Amazing you say? Yes, but, the prediction was now that it would always provide him with some measure of pain. MF took a nasty fall on a wet and slippery department store floor, causing some serious breaks to her wrist. This was followed by immediate surgery, metal pins, the works. There was little hope, even with the surgery, that even 30% mobi-lity would ever return to |
